The loss was acceptable because the stop was planned. The mistake would have been moving it after the setup failed.

The part I care about most is whether the setup still makes sense after the first reaction.

If the first New York move is a stop sweep, I want to see whether price reclaims the level. That reclaim often gives a cleaner risk point.
