Round numbers matter in forex because many traders, algorithms, and institutions pay attention to them. Levels like 1.0800 on EURUSD or 150.00 on USDJPY can attract orders, stops, and option-related interest.

This does not mean every round number will reverse price. It means they are areas where reaction is more likely. The best round-number setups usually happen when the level also matches previous structure, session highs or lows, or higher-timeframe support and resistance.

A useful habit is to mark nearby round numbers before the session starts. Then watch how price behaves when it reaches them. Fast rejection, failed acceptance, or repeated defense can all provide useful clues.

Round numbers are not magic. They matter because enough participants treat them as important.
