EURUSD can produce clean trends, but many sessions are simply range days. The problem is that traders often enter with a trend mindset even when the market is rotating between two clear levels.

A range day usually shows overlapping candles, failed continuation, and repeated reactions near the same high and low. When this happens, breakout entries in the middle of the range are often low quality.

A better approach is to wait near the edges. If price reaches the high of the range and fails to accept above it, shorts can make more sense. If price reaches the low and quickly reclaims it, longs can make more sense.

The key is accepting the environment. Not every day needs a trend trade. Sometimes the best edge is recognizing that the market is balanced and waiting for price to come to the edge.
