A competition format can push traders into oversizing because the leaderboard rewards speed. That does not always translate into a durable trading process. I would rather see consistency rules, daily loss limits, and clean review notes. Winning for a month is nice, but the bigger question is whether the behavior can survive a full market cycle.

Before major news I prefer reducing risk or staying flat. Slippage can turn a good-looking setup into a poor trade very quickly.
